Remote Payroll Processing

How it Works

Payroll will be processed remotely with one of the following options:

• A remote desktop connection
  • Connecting through your secure VPN
• Connecting to your Cloud
  • NEMRC offers this to all municipalities for a charge
  • Or it can be done through your own Cloud service
• In person
  • If there is an absolute need for my services to be in person, it can be arranged at a small charge

Other types of connection are available and can be discussed further upon request

My preference is working on the Cloud and the reason is very simple: it allows me to process your payroll from anywhere, even if my office or your office has a power outtage or network issues.

Stearns Services will get the payroll processed up to the point of check printing. You will be responsible for printing the checks at your convenience and upload the ACH file to the bank. Stearns Services will then continue with printing reports and filing the state and federal withholdings.

Quarterly reports will be processed and filed by Stearns Services with the exception of the 941, B (if applicable). The 941 will be prepared and sent to you for signing and mailing.

Year End reports will be processed and filed by Stearns Services except for the 941, B (if applicable) and the W2 SSA file to BSO.

The 941 and the W-2 file will be prepared for upload to the BSO website and the 941 will be sent to you for signing and mailing.
